If our hope is in the LORD - when hard times come we can:1. Ask for help. (v. 1-2)
2. Take issue with deceit. (v. 3-4)
3. Long for peace. (v. 5-7)
» Are you more likely to pray or complain?
» Consider how the faithfulness of the God encourages you in this life?
» How well do you deal with the serious evil of slander?
» What can you do to help promote peace in your relationships?

If we are Spirit-filled people, then we will be good stewards who are:
1. Generous in our giving. (v. 6-8)

Spiritual restoration will take place when we have hearts that:
1. Love our brothers and sisters.
2. Guard against temptation.
3. Pursue the love of Christ and fulfill the law of Christ.
4. Are humbled by God's grace.
5. Answer the call of God.

The church that stands firmly in grace together will:
1. Expose the works of the flesh (v. 19-21)
2. Experience the fruit of the Spirit (v. 22-23)
3. Exemplify the power of Gospel community (v. 24-26)

1. Find new life in the Holy Spirit. (v.16)
