How can we live in the joy of Christian freedom?
Three questions that will help you grow and stand in grace:
1. What is gospel freedom? (v. 1)

How can I live in a right relationship with God?
1. Receive the message of the whole bible, not just selected texts. (v. 21)
2. Come to God on His terms, not your performance. (v. 22-26)
3. Trust in the Gospel that opposes all systems of works-righteousness. (v. 27)Jesus + Nothing - Nothing = Salvation
4. Be ready for resistance from religious opposition. (v. 28-30)
5. Live in freedom as children of God. (v. 31)

Paul's call to stay the course in Christ alone:
1. Remember whose you are.2. Realize who you should follow.3. Remember what you have done.4. Recognize the warnings of where you are going.5 Remember where you should be.

How can I live in confidence and experience growing intimacy with God?
1. Remember my former powerless condition. (v. 1-3)
2. Receive the Father's gracious provision. (v. 4-6)
3. Realize the status of my exalted new position. (v. 7)

Four truths that bring us into worship as a faith family:
1. The promises of God are locked in. (v. 15-18)
2. The standard of God locks up. (v. 19-23)
3. The Son of God leads out. (v. 24-27)
4. The family of God is where we do life together. (v. 28-29)

How can the curse be reversed?Two Approaches:
1. By Works: Try to keep the whole law.
2. Through Grace: Trust in Christ's work on the cross.

In defense of the gospel of grace:
1. Examine your Experience (v. 1-5)
2. Examine the Evidence (v. 6-9)

We need the clearest understanding of Justification to live our lives to the Glory of God.
Paul gives five clarifying statements to make sure we rightly understand Justification.
1. Justification does not allow you to sin freely. (v. 17)
2. Who we are doesn't justify you. (v. 18)
3. What you do doesn't justify you. (v. 19)
4. Justification changes who you are. (v. 20)
5. Justification changes what you do. (v. 21)
» What works do you do or have you done in order to feel that God would love you more?
» As you see justification more clearly, what freedoms do you have now that you didn't in the past?
» How does justification in Christ alone allow you to live more freely?

How do we contend for the Gospel and strive for unity?
1. Observe the Offender (v. 11)
2. Understand the Offense (v. 12-14)
3. Remember the Offering (v. 15-16)

Four Responsibilities to Fight for Unity
1. Communicate the Gospel (v. 1-2)
2. Confront Gospel Threats (v. 3-5)
3. Confirm Gospel Leaders (v. 6-9)
4. Cooperate to spread the Gospel (v. 10)
